The ESCO (Electronic Systems: Challenges and Opportunities) Report, published in June 2013, highlighted the value and importance of Electronic Systems to the UK economy and outlined a strategic blueprint that will drive the industry forward creating significant new jobs, investment and capability in the UK.

Following publication of the Report, an Electronic Systems Council has been established to drive forward implementation.  The Council is co-chaired by Warren East, former CEO of ARM and Michael Fallon, Minister of State for Business and Energy.

A position has now arisen for a proven leader to work closely with the ESCO Council in driving forward the recommendations from the report.  The successful candidate will have a proven track record as an experienced, energetic and highly persuasive leader who will work with the Council, with the industry associations, professional bodies and other stakeholder organisations to implement the Report Action Plan while taking cognisance of relevant industrial trends and industrial policy to continually review and shape industry strategy.

Salary is negotiable but will be appropriate to the senior nature of this role, which is for 100 working days per year.
