Winner of UKBI’s Business Incubation Champion award
SETsquared, UBIC’s partnership with business incubation Centres at the universities of Bristol, Exeter, Southampton and Surrey, has received UK Business Incubation’s (UKBI) Business Incubation Champion award. The award is for excellence in providing the right environment for start-ups businesses and entrepreneurs to flourish.
According to UKBI, SETsquared has a 10 year track record of supporting companies through its business acceleration centres and in 2013 alone helped companies within its incubators raise £34m in investment and saw the sale of one of its alumni businesses, Ubiquisys, to US giant Cisco for $310m. The University Business Incubator (UBI) Index has listed SETsquared incubator as the joint best in Europe. The ranking puts SETsquared fourth in the world, with the only other higher ranking counterparts hailing from the US. Further information from UKBI is available Here
