Great to see everyone at SETsquared’s House of Commons Reception on 4th February – a last minute switch saw Minister of State for Universities and Science, Jo Johnson MP (in place of Savid Javid) singing the praises of SETsquared and the Partnership’s universities. He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to HEIF and the Science Budget. Johnson was thanked by University of Surrey VC Prof.. Michael Kearney who used the opportunity to drive home some of the Partnership’s other achievements and future plans (besides our Global #1ness!). We had an impressive turnout of MPs, LEPs and corporates and, not surprisingly, the stars of the day were our ventures who charmed all the guests – so, whenever we see them, make to thank Sherlock, Pelipod, BioSystems Technologies, nquiringminds, Green Running & Inova Design Solutions.
