Simon Bond is Director of the University of Bath Innovation Centre (www.ubic.org.uk) which helps accelerate the growth of technology-based companies both from the University’s research base and from the private sector. Simon chairs the Business Acceleration Centre group of SETsquared, the Partnership of the universities of Bath, Bristol, Exeter, Southampton and Surrey and has founded a series of business networks to support business innovation – these include Silicon South West, Low Carbon South West, the open Mobile Innovation Camp, and the Assisted Living Action Network. He leads the Bath MBA’s Entrepreneurship in Action course and provides training in entrepreneurship, innovation and business development to students, start-ups, and business organisations from the UK and internationally. Simon is also a Director of the UK Electronics Alliance, ESCO.
