3 DAy STARTUP
3 Day Startup is a 72-hour learning-by-doing workshop that teaches entrepreneurial skills to university students in a hands-on environment. You do not need to have any previous startup experience! All you need is enthusiasm and an open mind.
Teams of students start a company over the course of three days and we give you everything you need to go from selecting an idea on day 1 to presenting a minimum viable product on day 3. By the end of the program, you should have the skills, motivation, and network to move forward with your company –– now or ten years from now.
This year's 3DS was held in Exeter over a weekend in October. Sign up the Enterprise Bath Facebook pages to keep up to date with applications for 2018.
Business plan competition 2018
The annual Business Plan Competition consists of 3 rounds— Ideas, Plan and Pitch. You don’t have to enter all the rounds and you can join the competition at any point. Teams should consist of no more than 2 people. Contestants get matched with a mentor and pitch to a panel of judges from Deloitte at their headquarters in London.
The competition deadline is 12 noon on Thursday 1st March and all business plans should be completed on the online submission form on this site. The winner of the overall competition will be announced that evening at the Final Celebration event at Deloitte’s Bath Offices in Henry Street.
The Apps Crunch is an exciting team competition that challenges students from all University of Bath departments to come up with an idea and design an app with a viable business model. Cross-disciplinary teams compete against each other to solve real-world problems with their app ideas.
The winners of this year's competition will receive an all expenses paid trip to London to meet with University of Bath alumni working at some of the biggest tech giants.
Entrants are required to submit a two-page business plan, a wireframe and, if you make it into the final, a working prototype.
