First Tuesday Networking
Tue Apr 04 2017 12.00-Tue Apr 04 2017 13.00
You are all warmly invited to join us on Tuesday 4th April 2017 for our next First Tuesday Network.
The line-up of speakers for our March session is as follows:
Dr Philip Hamann: An Academic Doctor at University of Bath and Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases. Phil is an incredibly talented individual, passionate about his rheumatoid arthritis research as well as innovation in healthcare and the role of technology in optimising healthcare delivery. In 2016 Phil was one of UoB Apps crunch winners which earned him the prize of all expenses paid trip to Silicon Valley where he had the opportunity to discuss his App creation with well-connected people.
Kate Robinson: Kate has held various business leadership positions in IBM and frequently found herself at the intersection between the corporate and start-up world. Kate will share her experiences of running a start-up within a corporation (IBM Watson) – an interesting dichotomy. She will also reflect on the challenges and opportunities presented when a start-up is acquired by a tech giant. Kate is a business mentor to startups funded by The Prince’s Trust and is available as a mentor to startups within UBIC.
I am really looking forward to hearing both of our speaker’s stories. Very much hope that you can join us too.
Light lunch will be provided.
