About The Programme: Business Incubation
The Social Enterprise and Innovation Programme (SEIP) is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to support start-up and existing social enterprises.
The project is managed by the University of Bath and will provide support progress a social enterprise business through 12 hours of Business Incubation coaching in partnership with Bath Innovation Centre, The School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE), Social Enterprise Works, Voscur, and CVS South Gloucestershire.
Businesses with the most growth potential will be introduced to the Social Enterprise Investment Network.
Who can apply?
Founders / managers of newly formed social enterprise businesses
Mature SME's who are looking to further develop a social venture or initiative
In association with key delivery partners
Strategic supporters for the project are North Somerset Council & The North Somerset Enterprise Agency, Business West, Bristol & Bath Regional Capital, Bath and North East Somerset Council, Bristol City Council, South Gloucestershire Council, St John’s Hospital, Ashley Community Housing, Bates Wells Braithwaite LLP and SETsquared.
Terms and Conditions
Your data will be held by the University of Bath and will be shared with the Social Enterprise and Innovation Programme delivery partners (The School for Social Entrepreneurs, Social Enterprise Works, Voscur and CVS-South Gloucestershire) and the West of England Growth Hub. Your data is held for the purposes of delivering the project and to identify which services we may offer you. Your data will also be used to report performance results of the Social Enterprise and Innovation Programme to the Department for Communities and Local Government. You may request a copy of the data we hold on you by writing to the University of Bath.
If selected to attend the Social Enterprise and Innovation Programme you will be required to initially attend a workshop for up to 3 days (or equivalent), failure to complete the workshop will exclude you from being considered for follow on incubation support.
The University of Bath and the Social Enterprise and Innovation Programme delivery partners provide no warranty in relation to the outcome of the programme for any participant, and accept no liability for any use made by a participant of information and advice provided under the programme.
Your application, potential business and product ideas will be judged at application and at various points throughout the programme. Continuation on the programme is at the discretion of the delivery partners and is dependent on the quality of the business idea and progress made during the support offered by the programme. The University of Bath's decision on whether to offer support, or continue support, is final.
